ha. hah.

in my opinion, microsoft paint is fantastic. i have sentimental childhood attachments to the dear program. i love it in all its lo-fi glory.

that being said, this video cracks me up.

yes.
( you have to hear me saying that to understand how it's supposed to sound. it sounds like it's in italics or something. like, "yes this is cool and dorky." but i can't convey that with just typed-out words)

funny to me that I remember how advanced it was when I first tried it...we had a comm. 64 at home, and a friend had this. I couldn't believe it came in color!! (Color was amazing to me then, as we didn't get a color tv until the 90's)

Have you checked out ProCreate? Unfortunate name, but pretty rockin software...especially if you get the pad and stylus that acts as a canvas and brush.

aha! THERE's stephanie/eric. i haven't heard of procreate...but upon googling, it costs money, and i'd rather have a college education. p.s., your age is showing. :)

haha, those good ol' pipes...when i was like nine i used to sit and be mesmerized by those old school screensavers for h-o-u-r-s. or at least minutes.

i particularly get a kick out of the fact that the one guy who's basically hyperventilating about the amazingness of paint is sitting in front of a mac. which does not have microsoft paint. ahem.

I would completely encourage a college education over buying software, especially since if you attend a school with an arts department, you'll probably get to use it there anyway, for free.
