the funniest part about today was when i was late for work
because i couldn't find my rainboots
(which i wanted to wear because it was soggy outside)
--and five minutes later i still couldn't find them,
so i settled for cowboy boots
(which aren't even waterproof)
and i got fifty yards down the road and it started raining.
so i ran back home for an umbrella
(which happened to have cowboys on it,
which lent my outfit an accidentally overt western theme)
and as i flew out the back door,
the umbrella
(which was the kind with a hook-shaped handle)
got caught on something
and i went jerking backwards like a ragdoll,
like a bungee-jumper,
and i laughed out loud.
