wha?

last night i had a dream that involved sufjan stevens crawling into a toaster oven with a small crocodile attached to his head.

i tried to reason it out this morning:
i fell sleep listening to sufjan. hannah pasted a crocodile to an envelope at small group on monday. but the toaster oven? well, there is one in my kitchen. i see it everyday. hm.

anyhow, i sure hope this dream wasn't forshadowing dear mr. stevens's untimely death via reptile-toaster. that would make me awfully sad.

in other news, i walked home from work today in the rain. i'd suspected rain this morning, and set out in my rainboots. they came in quite handy come one o'clock. stopped by my mother's store and stole an umbrella (with permission) and had a lovely time of it! most fun i've had in a while. even though i was alone.

Dreams are funny things.

That sounds so perfect. Walking home in the rain w/ rainboots and an umbrella. Although, I probably would have forgone the umbrella if I were wearing something that I didn't mind getting wet.

It was a cold rain, though. So, perhaps the umbrella was a wise choice. (:

oh yes, i only brought the umbrella because i was carrying things that would have died in the rain...my camera. and papers and such. ha.

yeah, dreams are the strangest things! i try not to think about the whole concept too much because it makes my brain hurt. i like dreams, though. :)

The beast in your collage or however it is spelled is exactly how I've always pictured what is described in the end of the book of Job. Toaster ovens I know, but the singer person... never heard of him. What's his music like? Always on the look out for good music! So much of it is trash these days.

anna--basically, sufjan stevens is single-handedly the most amazing person on the face of the planet! his music is beau-ti-ful and majestic and quirky and thoughtful and wonderful, AND he loves Jesus. infinitely far from trash, in my opinion.

since it's nearing the season, you should check out his christmas album--it's ridiculously great. :D

never even heard of sufjan? roughlife.
i just wrote a paper on him...kind of on him, anyway.
i was highly amused by this post, with the dream, and the picture with them all together. my little brother really likes to go on ten minute rants about his dreams...it kills me.
but i like this. it's different in writing.

haha!--oh man, i know how the brother-dream retellings go. i have the saaame problem. heh heh.
