well, if they go belly up that means their patent is over and any company can begin to market film and instant-print cameras. several years back they forced kodak (in court) to cease selling "polaroid" cameras. this strong-arming of competition squelched creativity and progress within their own company (i'm afraid).
Well, their patent might not be over. They could be really cruel and keep renewing it over and over again so no one can copy them ever. But that would take 30,000 dollars or so every 17 years, which they could do. A patent only prevents people from making something, it doesn't give you the right to make it. We just studied patents the other day in class. heh.
Hopefully, they would be offered a whole lot of money for it and sell it so that Annie can still have her polaroids. :D

But polaroids are the only reason to buy polaroid! I guess that they want their sales to drop. =(

Why aren't they making polaroids anymore!?
what.
you're joking.
they have a website that appears to be selling the film. just click here.
um, they're stupid.
they're bankrupt (why? how? i don't know), so they've decided to call it quits.
they'll continue selling it until 2009...but after that, goodbye.
no joke.
SO DEPRESSING.
