an exercise in polar equilibrium

downtown caught on fire.
i did not catch on fire.

i cannot find the lens cap to my 50mm lens.
i can find my 50mm lens.

my eyeglass prescription is too weak and i squint a lot.
i am not blind. also, if i felt so compelled, i could put in my contacts.

the staff at chesapeake college all seem to be meanie-grumpy-sassy-britches.
my friends are not meanie-grumpy-sassy-britches. also, aforementioned staff aren't all THAT bad.

there are no apples in the kitchen.
there are apples growing amongst the branches of the trees in some tropic region, i'm sure. some island native is enjoying an apple right now, just not me. also, there are apples in the grocery store.

i have to take the SAT's soon.
i get to shade in those little bubbles with a pencil that i'm sure will fade from freshly sharpened to dearly dulled, just as i like it.

the pc froze up while i was editing photos and all that time i spent is toast.
the originals are safe 'n sound.

my YMCA membership expired.
my NRA membership didn't. just kidding.

hear hear, i feel quite balanced.
i should do this more often.

i'm pretty sure apples don't grow in tropical locations... but maybe that's just me.

apples are good when they are cold. but i suppose you don't put apples in the frig (i thought all people did till a few weeks ago when i found out differently). they are the best that way. cold and crisp. yum

annie.

trying to get a new outlook on things so i can write some poetry for my class tonight. everyday words and thoughts wouldn't do..where do i go to change my mind about things and think differently. find interesting words and approaches to ordinary things.

answer: your blog
so i'm printing out your words and trying to become you for a little bit so i will have SOMETHING to offer in tonight's class.

this is not plagerism is it?
i'm not copying you
just getting myself somewhere other than my own, dried up thoughts

so, emma, if pineapples grow in tropical locations, why can't apples, too? eh?

elizabeth--apples are SO good when they are cold. love! :)

kyrie, i like you. i think you're great. and you make me laugh. anyhow, i'm honored to offer you my very own dried-up thoughts. i suppose one man's dried-up thoughts are another's juicy-nectar-thoughts, because i think your thoughts are always nectar-fresh.

because that's not the way things work, sista pineapples are not apples and apples are not pineapples. therefore, they don't grow in the same location.

Apples grow in places like New York State and Washington State-nothing tropical there, trust me.

A little P.E.
My wallet has less cash.
Spent it at a wonderful little store in Cambridge:-)

My tummy is upset because it is overstuffed.
Enjoyed lots(too much) of yummy food this weekend while away from home.

Hayley went back to college too soon.
She is safe home from India.

Persuasion was too short on PBS last week.
Northanger Abbey is on RIGHT NOW!
-bye.

annie, could you share some of your brain cells with me please? I'm losing more each day and you seem to have plenty of extras for sharing.....

Lovely post, Annie.
It amused me.

It's snowing outside. And I'm stuck inside.

But, at least I'm warm.

Heeey. I like what you have here. Real whimsical, in the good sense. I approve of stuff like this. I love stuff like this. Keep squeezing these out. That's what I'm gonna try to do. Just write, write, write. It's good for your health.
