my mother has that fancy-pants new windows vista.
it has a font in microsoft office called "teen" that isn't on my old-school windows xp.
i find it mildly offensive to my font-related teenage discretion--heck, i find it offensive to my individuality as a human being.
dear windows vista: i am more than a component of an age group seeming to display a certain uniformity in handwriting and/or design preferences.

hmph.

hmph.
i dunno, maybe i'll go make a gaudy stereotypical font and call it "middle age."

no. name it 'elderly folk'.
eah. that is a disgrace. every time someone ever says or writes the word 'teen' i think,
"NINETIES!", or,
"wow, that person is so hip! i truly feel as though they are really trying to understand and connect with how i feel as a teen-ager, and that word just appeals so much to my age group. i really respect them now, and i'm totally going to be open with them and spill my feelings all over them."
but, that's just me. msh
annie, you understand I just bought this stupid computer and don't have any control over the thoughtlessness of its designers right? I'm with Emma, call it "elderly folk", cause I'm not one of them yet, while unfortunately, I am without a doubt, "middle-aged".
i sort of like that font..
BUT i understand the teen thing which is why...for the first time in my life..i can't wait to turn a year older because i'll be 20! and no longer a 'teen.'
..and that day is coming on tuesday:)
yeah, i mean, i don't think the font itself is really inherently terrible. i think just the fact that the word "teen" cannot be un-entwined from its existence is what really gets me. ha!
p.s. it's so weird that you'll be twenty on tuesday. (!) whenever i think about it, the image of "eeyore's tail" comes up in my mind. and messy ponytails and funny kid teeth and matching halloween costumes.
i like that font. let's call it 'youngster.'
